今日の夕方、近所の川にかかる橋を渡っていたら、河川敷にカワセミさんがいるのが見えました。
その場所はまだ草がほとんどない状態だったので、カワセミさんの翡翠色の羽毛が目立ちました。
また、カワセミさんの鳴き声も聴くことができました。
この場所でカワセミさんを見たのはおそらく初めてではないかと思います。
もし、この辺りが縄張りならば、またカワセミさんに会えるかもしれません。
思わぬ場所で、意外な野鳥さんに出会えるのも、探鳥の大きな醍醐味です♪
This evening, while crossing a bridge over a nearby river, I saw a common kingfisher on the riverbed.
There was still very little grass in the area, so the common kingfisher's jade green feathers stood out.
I also heard the common kingfisher's call.
I think this was probably the first time I'd seen a common kingfisher in this location.
If this is its territory, I might be able to see it again.
