アリのアンは今日も食べ物をせっせと巣穴に運んでいます。
今日はとても暑い日で、アンは途中、日陰で休んでいました。
すると、とても大きな何かがアンとアンが掴まっていたものを持ち上げました。
アンは何が起きたのか分からず、しばらくじっと動かずにいました。
アンは大きな振動の中で不安になりながらも様子を見ていました。
ようやく振動がおさまった頃、アンはそこから逃げることができました。
しかし、辺りには見たことのない景色でした。
アンは
「ここは何処だろう？」
と思いました。
アンはニンゲンが住むキッチンの台の隅にいました。
どうやらアンはニンゲンが収穫した野菜にいて、そのままここまで連れてこられたようです。
アンは巣穴までのルートが分からないまま、これからどうしようか迷っていました。
その時、キッチンにいたニンゲンが、アンの存在に気付きました。
「あれ？アリさんがこんな所に…」
「さっき、野菜を採った時にくっついてきたんだね」
ニンゲンはそう言って、いつもの容器を持ってきました。
この容器は小さな生き物が誤って家の中に入ってしまった時に、捕獲して屋外へ逃がすためのものでした。
ニンゲンは今回も慣れた手つきで、この道具を使ってアンを屋外へ逃がしました。
アンは突然、得体の知れない容器に入れられ、一時ジタバタしましたが、すぐにさっきまでいた場所に戻れたので、ようやく安心することができました。
その後アンは巣穴に戻り、「真夏の珍事件」として、このことを仲間に伝えました。
この話を聞いた一匹のアリがつぶやきました。
「アンの話は仲間が突然いなくなるのと関係があるのかもしれないな」

Ann the ant was busy carrying food to her burrow again today.
It was a very hot day, so Ann stopped to rest in the shade along the way.
Then, something very large lifted Ann and whatever Ann was holding onto.
Ann didn't know what was happening and remained motionless for a while.
Ann felt anxious as Ann watched the strong vibrations.
When the vibrations finally subsided, Ann was able to escape.
However, the surrounding scenery was unfamiliar.
Ann wondered,
"Where am I?"
Ann was in the corner of the kitchen counter where the humans lived.
It seemed that Ann had been in some vegetables that a human had harvested and had been brought all the way here.
Ann, not knowing the route to the nest, wondered what to do next.
At that moment, a human in the kitchen noticed Ann.
"Huh? There's an ant here..."
"A ant stuck to the vegetables when I was picking them earlier."
The human said, bringing out his usual container.
This container was meant to capture any small creatures that accidentally entered the house and release them outside.
Once again, with practiced skill, the human used the tool to release Ann outside.
Ann was suddenly placed in a mysterious container and struggled for a moment, but ann was soon able to return to Ann's previous location and finally feel at ease.
Ann then returned to Anns nest and told Ann's fellow ants about the incident, calling it a "strange midsummer occurrence."
One of the ants, hearing this story, muttered:
"Maybe Ann's story has something to do with the sudden disappearances of fellow ants."
